A Ukrainian woman photographed with former President Trump and socialites at Mar-a-Lago denied allegations she is a Russian spy or criminal.
Inna Yashchyshyn, 33, exclusively told the New York Post those claims about her are false, adding she is the victim of a smear campaign, allegedly orchestrated by a spurned lover. Yashchyshyn explained a former lover stalked her, branded her as a spy for Russian leader Vladimir Putin and sued her in a bizarre effort to win her back.
“What boils my blood most is people even thinking I’m Russian or a Russian agent,” the Ukrainian woman said. “Russian people don’t exist to me since they invaded my country and killed my family and took homes.”
She said her brother had been activated for military service after Russia attacked Ukraine in February. The brunette earned worldwide attention after photographs of her with Trump and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) surfaced within days after Federal Bureau of Investigation agents conducted a 10-hour search of Mar-a-Lago.
The photographs were taken in 2021, the Post reported, and published by the Pittsburgh newspaper that broke the story about Yaschyshyn posing as Anna de Rothschild. The report indicated she sailed under the false identity at Mar-a-Lago to make contacts and drum up new business.
The claims were made by Ukrainian Valeriy Tarasenko, whom Yashchyshyn described as an abusive former lover she met eight years ago, according to statements she made in court papers, the report noted.
A Miami-Dade County court filing in February includes Tarasenko describing Yashchyshyn as “an active member of an international criminal organization.” He alleged Yashchyshyn bought fake identities bearing the surnames of famously wealthy people.
His affidavit claims his former girlfriend assumed the name Anna Kruger in addition to the identity of Anna de Rotshchild. The Krugers are Canadians who made a fortune in paper and corrugated cardboard.
Yashchyshyn denies sneaking in to Mar-a-Lago, claiming a friend of Tarasenko’s daughter, Sofiya, was staying in a guest house at the Trump resort and invited her onto the property in May 2021.
“I didn’t tell anyone my name, and no one asked for identification,” she said, explaining she was invited to play golf with a family she had met at the resort in May 2021. Yashchyshyn added she had lunch at the golf course where Trump was at a nearby table.
