During a Friday event promoting the family and child care elements of his Build Back Better Agenda, President Joe Biden quipped that he “liked kids better than people.”
Biden was in Connecticut in an effort to bring his sweeping social welfare and climate legislation across the finish line. The bill, intended to be passed on a party-line basis, has been held up by divisions among Democrats over its price tag and contents.
“When I talked to all your folks out on the playground, as I joked, everybody knows I like kids better than people,” Biden said. “Fortunately, they’re like me. Maybe that’s why I like them.”

“What did he mean by this?” one questioned.
“Are these side effects of mesothelioma?” another added.
“Wtf? How this man is the president???” one user wrote.
“No wonder why is going to the vatican next month,” one user mocked.
“how does he get away with this,” another commented.
“What mushrooms does this man take,” one user wrote.
“We know Joe,” one commented.

This is not the first time that Biden has made similar comments. During an appearance with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in February, Biden said, ‘and you know you enjoy being home with the baby more, I don’t wanna hear this.’
When Cooper responded in the affirmative, Biden laughed and continued, ‘I get it, no, no, everybody knows I like kids better than people.’
