Many have wondered whether or not former President Donald Trump will run for president in 2024.
One thing is sure, his rallies are well-attended and Trump puts himself in the spotlight more than any other former president in history.
Not one to mince words, at Saturday’s rally in Wyoming, Trump was not shy in criticizing the Wyoming House Republican incumbent Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Liz Cheney is an outspoken “never-Trumper” who sits on the hyper-partisan January 6 Select Committee. On Saturday, she incurred Trump’s wrath:
“There is no RINO in America who has thrown in her lot with the radical left more than Liz Cheney.” Trump declared.
“As one of the nation’s leading proponents of the insurrection hoax, Liz Cheney has pushed a grotesquely false, fabricated, hysterical partisan narrative.”
Trump continued: “Look at the so-called word insurrection, January 6 – what a lot of crap. Most of this country knows it and you know who else knows it? The Democrats.”
To the cheering crowd, Trump said:
“Wyoming deserves a congresswoman who stands up for you and your values. Not one who spends all of her time, going after your President in the most vicious way possible and loving vicious, bloody nonsensical wars.”
But it wasn’t his questioning of Cheney’s fitness to lead that brought the greatest cheers — it was his question to the crowd regarding whether or not he should run for president in 2024.
The crowd went wild when Trump offhandily asked: “Does anybody want me to run again?”
The cheering and chanting crowd kept Trump from continuing his speech for approximately 20 seconds.
An obviously pleased Trump mouthed, “Thank you and appeared to wipe tears from his eyes.” Most speculate, “Trump will be back.”
