A video posted to Twitter shows an aggressive encounter between a female high school student and a teacher.
The violent encounter is said to have racist undertones because of the student’s comments and the fact that the student is white and the teacher is African American.
The student is seen grabbing at a phone on the teacher’s desk. When the teacher tells the student, “No, no, no,” the student slaps at the teacher and takes possession of the phone.
When she challenges the teacher to “deal with me,” the teacher calmly walks out of the class to summon assistance.
In the teacher’s brief absence, the student calls her mother, evidently expecting support. In an expletive-filled rant to her mother, she notes the teacher’s race and exclaims, “She’s f****** pissing me off!”
The student can be heard saying: “I need you to get over here now because this teacher is about to get f***ed up if she doesn’t get the f*** away from me.”
The mother’s reply is not known, but evidently, she did not want to talk to the teacher, at which point the student throws the phone and storms out of class.
The video on Twitter has amassed over 170,000 views.
The incident happened Friday at Castleberry High School in Fort Worth, Texas.
