On Wednesday, Megyn Kelly expressed outrage at the individuals responsible for covering up the origin of the COVID-19 virus, including British zoologist Peter Daszak, Chinese Communist Party officials, and the Biden Administration.
The story: During her Sirius XM radio Show, Kelly seethed as she declared that “these f*****s have lied to us for long enough,” referring to zoologist Peter Daszak and Chinese Communist Party officials for covering up the truth about the origin of COVID-19, and the Biden Administration for “look[ing] the other way.”
Her comments come amidst a growing body of evidence that Peter Daszak, as lead researcher for EcoHealth Alliance, may have created the virus with United States taxpayer dollars at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, and that subsequently, Chinese Communist Party officials attempted to cover up the virus’ origin.
When originally confronted with the rumors, Daszak reportedly called the claims “preposterous,” “baseless,” and “pure baloney,” but he has yet to address recent, more substantiated reports tying the pandemic to his research.
Kelly’s comments: On her show on Wednesday, Kelly lamented the devastation caused by the pandemic and called for accountability.
“Forgive me, but these f*****s have lied to us for long enough, and we need to know the truth,” Kelly began. Millions of people are dead, and Peter Daszak is allowed to get away with his lies, the Biden Administration looks the other way, the information’s there if only we will push for it and demand it, and we have no assurances this won’t happen again.”
Kelly did not express much optimism that matters would be handled differently under another administration, due to China’s current power on the world stage.
“It’s infuriating to me, infuriating,” she teemed. “There’s just nothing we can do, and I don’t even know if we get another president in there… whether he or she would handle it any differently because China has us so, you know, by the… you know what.”
Worth noting: Kelly also played a clip on her show of a recent interview conducted by Sky News with former U.S. Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.
When questioned during the interview by reporter Sharri Markson about evidence showing China’s involvement in covering up the origin of the COVID-19 virus, Ratcliffe admitted, “Yes, there’s compelling intelligence that hasn’t been de-classified.”
“We put out as much as we felt we could safely do at the time, but I think the time has come for the Biden Administration to declassify additional information that would, again, more evidence if you need it, that Chinese Communist Party officials acted badly, bullied international officials, covered up intelligence and reporting on this,” Ratcliffe continued. “There is more intelligence out there and I’d like to see it declassified, because it’ll create additional pressure, not just on Chinese Communist Party officials, but others that still continue to deny that China is a bad actor here.”
Then, on Wednesday night, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appeared on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle to discuss the COVID-19 origin, including his strong belief that Daszak needs to answer for his research.
“Peter Daszak was involved in the funding from EcoHealth Alliance,” he stated. “It appears that was the group that was connected to the work inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology related to gain-of-function on the very kinds of viruses that we saw escape from that lab with near certainty.”
“Peter Daszak’s got a lot of questions to explain on how this happened, why American taxpayer dollars were going for this, and then ultimately the Chinese Communist Party needs to be held accountable for what they did to the world,” Pompeo concluded.
In detail: Daszak is a British zoologist leading the U.S.-based non-profit organization EcoHealth Alliance, which commonly uses grant money from the U.S. government to conduct research, including a number of studies at the Wuhan Institute.
DRASTIC, an internet-based team of scientists investigating the origins of COVID-19, recently released documents demonstrating that Daszak and a team of international researchers applied for a grant from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) 18 months before the pandemic. The grant money was requested to fund the introduction of “human-specific cleavage sites” into bat coronaviruses, which would in effect, improve the viruses’ ability to infect humans.
In rejecting the grant application, DARPA stated, notably, “It is clear that the proposed project led by Peter Daszak could have put local communities at risk.”
The agency also cautioned that the researches had not adequately addressed dangers of enhancing the virus.
It is unclear if Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance moved forward with their research with different funding.
