An unidentified man flipped off President Joe Biden and profanely mocked him while bicycling near his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, home.
“Hey, where’s your f*-ng training wheels at?” he yelled at the president who was cruising past on a nearby bike path Sunday.
Watch:
The heckler was obviously referring to an incident three weeks ago where the president appeared to get his foot stuck after stopping to talk to bystanders. The curious locals were gathered near the press pool covering the president’s biking activity he conducted on Father’s Day.
“Happy Father’s Day,” one woman in the crowd wished President Biden that day while others applauded. Their glad greetings became gasps after the elderly president lost his balance and fell down at their feet. The president may be seen in a video posted to Twitter stopping his bike, planting his left foot and then falling to his right after his right foot appears to get stuck in the pedal. The president landed on his knee and elbow.
“I’m good, I’m good,” Biden said, as his Secret Service security detail rushed to help him back to his feet, according to a New York Post report.
A Saturday headline in the New York Times suggested Biden is testing the boundaries of age and the presidency.
The accompanying report noted last month’s incident where he fell while dismounting his bicycle. White House officials acknowledged the 79-year-old president’s fall was one the top stories that week. The report noted administration officials pointed out that the president exercises five mornings each week, often with a physical trainer. Officials further noted that many men his age hardly even ride bikes anymore.
Biden stipulates that questions about his fitness are reasonable to ask while at the same time he reassures Americans he is in good shape, the report added, before wondering whether that will last another six years.
