Outspoken podcast king Joe Rogan called out pervasive bias in the mainstream media, charging that “the collusion between the media and the government is pretty apparent, especially Left-Wing medias, Left-Wing governments.”
In his characteristically bombastic way, Rogan noted the disparity between how the media handles news tied to former United States President Donald Trump and news tied to President Joe Biden.
The Post Millennial reports that Rogan noted the “Russian collusion story turned out to be complete nonsense” but brought the media’s talking heads to a frenzy. He then contrasted that with how the media has been largely silent on the Hunter Biden laptop story, saying the story would be “lead” news “every night” if the laptop belonged to Trump’s son.
Rogan’s guest, Jocko Willink, added: “[It’s] insane. [For] three and a half years the American public was getting beat down with the Russia collusion thing.”
Willink is a retired Navy SEAL and author of 7 books. One of his most notable books, “Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win,” notes how courage correlates with character and how courage is required to live with integrity.
Willink noted how the Left kept the conspiracy alive by constantly repeating spurious talking points and accusations. He added, “And [the story] was created, it was created by the Democratic Party. I guess that’s not the exact thing, but it was created by people that were insiders of the Democratic Party.”
“And it wasn’t real,” Rogan replied. “And no one’s being held accountable. [It’s like] we’re in a cult. [Their] information is not based on reality, this is a Left-wing cult.”
Rogan also noted how media outlets on the Left are strangely aligned and that precise phrasing and talking points are often echoed across various liberal media platforms.
“It’s pretty f****** apparent that there’s some narratives that get shared back-and-forth and they have talking points and they don’t talk about things they’re not supposed to, like the Hunter Biden laptop story—something that’s actual news!” Rogan exclaimed.
