Imagine you and a college study buddy trying to prepare for an exam are accosted in a public space by another student who judges you based on a sticker stuck to your laptop. That’s what happened to two students at an Arizona college recently.
Two male students studying at an Arizona State University campus were told to leave the area by a female who self-identified as black. The unidentified woman, who filmed the encounter that was later released on social media, called the men racists and demanded they leave the multi-cultural space. One of the male students’ laptops displays a sticker that says “Police Lives Matter.” His study buddy is shown wearing a shirt noting he, “Did Not Vote For Biden.”
In the video that has been viewed more than 2.5 million times, the woman filming the scene objected to the laptop sticker. When one of the male students asked the woman what did he do wrong, she replied, “You’re offensive. Police lives matter?”
“We’ve got a Police Lives Matter sticker and we’re getting kicked out,” said the anti-Biden t-shirt wearer, adding “Can’t do school.” He appears in the video holding his phone in a way that suggests he also recorded the confrontation. Another student counters that they’re not being forced to leave. “No, I’m just saying you’re making me uncomfortable,” the second female student said.
“But you’re white,” interjected the filming student, asking if the two men understand what a multi-cultural space is? That prompted the anti-Biden student to incredulously ask, “White’s not a culture?”
“No, it’s not a culture,” the filming students shouts back. “White is not a culture!” The anti-Biden student looks around in wonder while saying, “This is insane.”

“This is the violence that ASU does and this is the type of people that they protect,” said the filmer. “Okay, this white man thinks he can take up our space. And this is why we need a multicultural space, because they think they can get away with this shit,” she continued.
Another student is heard saying, “We’re asking you to leave if you have any consideration for people of color.”
The video has been retweeted more than 12,000 times and sides were clearly drawn.
New Yorker Ryan James Girdusky called it “anti-White activism” on his post.
Author Brigitte Gabriel posted her opinion that, “The kids harassing these two young men should be expelled from college.”
A Reddit group has a longer version of the encounter with a heated discussion that follows.
Reddit user Supernova138 called the video encounter, “a bunch of fatheaded simpleminded vapid cockeyed imbeciles spewing hateful gibberish, I think.”
