A classroom full of Las Vegas children goes nuts after they are told they no longer need to wear masks.
Their expressions of relief and joy resonate clearly in a YouTube video that has been widely viewed on different social media platforms.
A Daily Wire report said the original video was posted by Courtney Holland, Vice Chair & National Committeewoman for Nevada Young Republicans, where it was viewed millions of times in a matter of hours.
“Stop what you’re doing and watch this,” she wrote. “Kids at a Las Vegas elementary school burst out into cheers after learning they no longer have to wear a mask to school.” The video on Twitter currently shows 3.6 million views but many people have loaded it on their TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts so it has been seen by many more people.

Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, a Democrat up for reelection November, surprised state residents Thursday when he decreed the state mask mandate would be lifted immediately, according to a HotAir report. The report noted thousands of gamblers are expected in Las Vegas this weekend for the Super Bowl and speculated Sisolak was unwilling to risk turning away wealthy gamblers opposed to mask mandates.
“Right now, I think this is a major step moving forward for people,” Sisolak said. “Students and parents have been clamoring for this for a long time. Our businesses have been asking for this. I think this is the appropriate time.” The governor punted on school mandates, however, saying employers and school districts are allowed to set their own mask mandates and he would support their decision.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board notified casinos Thursday individuals were no longer required to wear masks in casinos unless there was a local mandate in effect, according to a New York Times report.
Clark County School District, which includes Las Vegas, announced it was ending its mask mandate. The elementary school children in the above-mentioned video are in that district.
