President Joe Biden, while stumping for Pennsylvania Democrats, urged voters to elect candidates to offices they are not running for.
In another seemingly senior moment, the 79-year-old president Tuesday mixed up which candidate was running for what office.
He told Pennsylvania voters to elect governor wannabe Josh Shapiro to the U.S. Senate and install U.S. Senate candidate John Fetterman as their next governor. It’s all so confusing.
The Daily Wire further reported:
Biden traveled to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on Tuesday to give a speech at Wilkes University about his plan to clamp down on Second Amendment rights.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro is running to be the state’s next governor while Lt. Governor John Fetterman, who is 6-feet-8-inches tall, is running for one of the state’s U.S. Senate seats.
“Think about doing me a favor,” Biden told the audience. “Please, please elect the attorney general to the Senate [and] elect that big ole boy to be governor.”
The National Republican Senatorial Committee posted the clip to social media, writing: “A confused @JoeBiden asks Pennsylvania to elect the ‘Attorney General to the Senate’ and ‘elect that big ‘ol boy to be Governor.’”
“That big ‘ol boy is socialist man child @JohnFetterman who is running for Senate, not Governor,” the NRSC added.
