The owner of a brewery in Democrat-controlled Los Angeles says that a security camera inside his business caught a health inspector dancing after she had just reportedly informed the business that it had to close.
“Bart Avery, one of the owners of Bravery Brewery in Lancaster, Calif., said the inspector visited the brewery at about 11 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday,” Fox News reported. “She told one of his employees that the brewery was in violation of county guidelines because there was no food truck, and it had to close, he said.”
Avery told Fox News that the health official ended up being wrong with her assessment that the brewery had to close because they were only serving drinks to go, which does not require them to have a food truck to remain open.
Avery said the official ended up acknowledging there was a mistake and they did not have to close down. He later received an apology over the phone from one of the health official’s bosses.
“Avery eventually went back to view one of the security cameras and said he spotted the inspector break into a dance just moments after delivering the news that the place had to close. Of course, he has no way of knowing why the inspector felt compelled to dance, but ‘the perception really sucks,’” Fox News added. “She had just informed the worker that he could be out of a job, he said. Considering all the pain that these lockdowns inflicted on small business owners, the dance was jarring.”
The video generated a fair amount of backlash online where people said that it was a sign of an authoritarian government in the Democrat-controlled city.
“They are fascists. They know they are fascists,” right-wing commentator Mike Cernovich wrote. “We know they are fascists. They knew we know they are fascists.”
“There is a special place in hell for the people who have not missed a single paycheck because they work for government who take glee in destroying business and lives,” immigration attorney Matthew Kolken wrote. “Hopefully, they will find themselves in that special place sooner than later.”
Daily Caller social media manager Logan Hall said that video of the dancing health official was a “sickening display” and was a “gross power trip.”
“This is actually more prevalent than you might imagine,” attorney Mark Geragos wrote. “@TinhornFlats has been harassed daily and cited every single day for months and now both the LA County Health and @BurbankCA are trying to declare them a nuisance and confiscate their business.”
