An Ivy League university-affiliated physician was booted from Twitter June 22 for tweeting results of an Israeli COVID-19 experiment. His account was restored Thursday after his attorney showed them the error of their ways.

Doctor Andrew Bostom had almost 50,000 Twitter followers before the information nazis banned him for saying something unflattering about vaccines. Bostom likens their reaction to dissemination of factual data to Lysenkoism breaches of informed public discussion.

In brief, he tweeted that a study of Israeli men determined COVID-19 vaccinations reduced the amount and movement of their sperm. He noted the number of swimmers mostly rebounded after approximately five months, and they regained most of their movement. The physician added, no data was available for reaction to booster shots and wondereded if sperm count and movement would decline after those shots.

The renowned physician, with more than 100 scholarly, peer-reviewed publications, did not just make something up to create controversy. He was reporting data from a peer-reviewed publication in the journal Andrology. The study’s title probably exceeded Twitter’s allowed character count. It is, “Covid-19 vaccination BNT162b2 temporarily impairs semen concentration and total motile count among semen donors.”

Twitter’s knee-jerk reaction to his scholarly treatise was to label it “misinformation” about COVID-19 that ran counter to the groupthink they deem acceptable.

He was notified his account was locked for violating Twitter rules, “specifically for violating the policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.” He shared a screen capture of the Twitter violation notice above his “offensive” tweet in an essay published last month by Legal Insurrection.

James Lawrence III, an attorney for Bostom, corresponded with Twitter on July 14, warning of legal action if the physician’s account was not restored.

“Dr. Bostom did not violate Twitter’s policy,” Lawrence declared. “At a minimum, nothing in our client’s tweet was ‘demonstrably false or misleading,’ nor was it ‘likely to impact public safety or cause serious harm.'” His interior quotes referred to sections of the social media giant’s policy cited in their violation notice.

“Dr. Bostom tweeted findings from a peer-reviewed study, and he summarized its content within the 280 character limit Twitter’s platform allows,” he added.

The attorney argued Twitter violated its “five-strikes” policy for suspending accounts that supposedly spread COVID-19 misinformation. Lawrence pointed to a recent case he brought on behalf of journalist Alex Berenson in which the judge opined, Twitter failed to follow its rule when it banned Berenson.

Lawrence demanded Bostom’s account be restored before July 21.

“While our client trusts that litigation will be unnecessary in this case, he is prepared to sue Twitter if necessary,” Lawrence explained.

Twitter restored the account within hours, according to The Epoch Times report.

“Your account is now unsuspended,” Twitter informed Bostom. “We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.”
