The post caught a lot of attention, particularly from conservative sources. Seth Dillon, CEO of the popular satire website The Babylon Bee, tweeted, “The world has become too absurd to be satirized.”

Others wrote some satire of their own. “Guys my dog is missing, let me know if you see her,” one person tweeted, attaching a picture of a bird.

“You’ve spelt ‘Man’ incorrectly @TorontoPolice,” tweeted former Brexit Party MEP Christina Jordan.

Actor Matthew Marsden referenced recently sworn-in Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s infamous inability to explain what a woman is, writing, “I mean, I’m not a biologist, but….”

CEO of Blaze Media Tyler Cardon tweeted, “My goodness. It’s real. The absolute dumbest time to be alive.”

The post is just the latest in a string of recent efforts to normalize the transgender movement, which many on the left have been pushing for several years and has received pushback from both Republicans and moderates.

Dozens of Democratic lawmakers are currently pushing a bill known as the Trans Bill of Rights, which would involve editing “the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to explicitly include gender identity and sex characteristics as protected characteristics” and altering “federal education laws to explicitly clarify that they protect students from discrimination based on gender identity and sex characteristics,” according to a press release.
