Former President Donald Trump this week unveiled a new design for his signature “Make America Great Again” hat.
The story: Trump announced the new version of his trademark red “Make America Great Again” hats in a fundraising email to supporters over the weekend. The hat is still red and features the “MAGA” letters but this time, they have gold trim and his signature.
The email included an image of the red “MAGA” hat and options to donate $25, $50, $100, or $250 to the PAC. There’s also an unsigned version of the hat that’s available on the Save America website, where Trump fans can buy it for $40.
What he said: “I just designed our BRAND NEW MAGA Hat and I want YOU to have it,” the email sent to potential donors to Trump’s Save America PAC read. “You’ve always been one of my most LOYAL supporters, so I don’t want you to have just ANY hat… I want YOU to have the MAGA Hat that I personally HAND-SIGNED for YOU.”
“Our movement isn’t slowing down, in fact, it’s only speeding up. That’s why I wanted to design a NEW HAT for all of our best supporters,” the email concluded. “Please contribute ANY AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY to win the HAND-SIGNED MAGA Hat that I personally designed.”
Worth noting: Trump is scheduled to hold a rally in Alabama at the end of August. It is unclear if the former president plans to wear the hat with the new design at the event.
As for his future political aspirations, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer recently said that the 45th intends to run for the White House in 2024 again.
“He’s in,” Spicer said during a preview interview of his upcoming book, “Radical Nation: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s Dangerous Plan for America,” adding that Trump also plans to play “kingmaker” in the midterm elections as well.
Spicer told the Washington Examiner that Trump “has banked $102 million, lost weight, and has kept his approval ratings high.”
