Recording artist Trap Beckham and his manager TJ Chapman attended former President Barack Obama’s birthday celebration in Martha’s Vineyard, and snapped photographs of the lavish event and posted them on Instagram, before being asked to remove them in accordance with the event’s photography ban.
Beckham’s reaction: “Epic night last night,” Beckham stated in a video posted the next day. “I posted some stories of myself. Didn’t think anybody gave a damn, and I guess they did. That’s not cool. That’s not cool.”
“Had to delete everything due to the rules,” Beckham said, the Post reported.
Numerous celebrities attended the event in the small township within Martha’s Vineyard known as Oak Bluffs, where guests were treated to gourmet food, high-end alcohol, and bespoke event swag celebrating Obama’s 60th birthday.
Worth noting: The Obamas decided to scale back the event amid the surge in new COVID-19 cases, but several big names were still in attendance.
The star-studded guest list reportedly included Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Bradley Cooper, Don Cheadle, Dwyane Wade, Bruce Springsteen, Erykah Badu, Steven Colbert and John Kerry, with performances by Alicia Keys, John Legend, and the rapper whose photographs were briefly posted online, Trap Beckham.
Speaking of the event, Beckham detailed, “It was epic for sure. If any videos surface it’s going viral. He danced the whole time. Nobody ever seen Obama like this before.”
