House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had a terse reaction on Thursday to GOP Reps. Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) heckling President Biden during his State of the Union address on Tuesday: “I think they should just shut up.”

Pelosi didn’t say if she thinks there ought to be any formal sanction by the House to rebuke the two far-right lawmakers for their breaches of decorum when a reporter asked whether action should be taken.

She instead cited the apparent reaction from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) at the time.

“Let me just say this. I agree with what Sen. Lindsey Graham said: ‘Shut up.’ That’s what he said to them. I think they should just shut up,” Pelosi said at a press conference in the Capitol.

As previously reported, during Biden’s SOTU speech, he said, “Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan faced many dangers. One was stationed at bases and breathing in toxic smoke from ‘burn pits’ that incinerated wastes of war—medical and hazard material, jet fuel, and more…”

The President added, “When they came home, many of the world’s fittest and best-trained warriors were never the same. Headaches. Numbness. Dizziness. A cancer that would put them in a flag-draped coffin…”

As Biden spoke of soldiers in “flag-draped coffins,” Rep. Boebert interrupted, “You put them in, 13 of them.”

Her sharp statement referred to Biden’s highly criticized pullout from Afghanistan that resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. soldiers.

Boebert followed up after the incident.

“When Biden said flag draped coffins I couldn’t stay silent. I told him directly he did it. He put 13 in there. Our heroic servicemen and women deserve so much better,” Boebert tweeted after the Tuesday night speech.

The Congresswoman also responded to Pelosi’s comment on twitter, reminding her of the infamous moment she tore up papers behind then-President Donald Trump.

So Fancy Nancy is upset about me speaking out at the State of the Union.

What’s she so torn up about?
