Michael Flynn, former national security adviser in the Trump administration, on Saturday said the United States should have a single religion.
“If we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion,” he said while speaking on the “ReAwaken America” tour Saturday night. “One nation under God and one religion under God.”
Responding to questions, Flynn also voiced his opinion on the 2020 election process, backing Former President Trump’s claims of voter fraud.
Later Saturday, Josh Mandel, Ohio’s treasurer and a U.S. Senate candidate, tweeted, “We stand with General Flynn.”

On Friday evening, while appearing on a Fox News broadcast of Tucker Carlson Tonight, said indicting Steve Bannon is part of an assault on basic American rights.
“The assault on the freedom of speech, our ability to peaceably protest, our desire to seek the truth in the security of our election systems and processes, this is what is at risk in our country today, and they don’t want us to be talking about these things,” General Flynn told Carlson.
The retired Army General opined that subpoenas against people like Bannon and himself are like political theater intended to steal away other events happening in the news. He pointed to the F.B.I.’s baseless investigation of Trump’s alleged Russian collusion now being scrutinized by Special Counsel John Durham.
