First Lady Melania Trump provided an update on her health on Monday, saying she is feeling good and continuing to rest at home days after testing positive for the coronavirus.
“My family is grateful for all of the prayers & support! I am feeling good & will continue to rest at home,” the 50-year-old wrote in a tweet.
“Thank you to medical staff & caretakers everywhere, & my continued prayers for those who are ill or have a family member impacted by the virus,” she went on.
The first lady has been quarantining in the White House residence after she and President Trump were diagnosed with the illness on Thursday evening and began experiencing symptoms.
The commander-in-chief, who is aged 74, was taken to Walter Reed Medical Center on Friday afternoon as a precaution by his doctors.
Trump has been providing video updates on his condition from the hospital and could be released as soon as Monday, with his physicians happy with the progress he has made.
A number of other lawmakers and people close to the president have also tested positive for the virus, including former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, and Trump 2020 campaign manager, Bill Stepien.
Trump’s positive test was revealed just hours after it was reported that his trusted advisor, Hope Hicks, had also been diagnosed.
