Doctors who dared question, criticize or second-guess federal government COVID-19 policies report being coerced, fined and having licenses revoked.
A small sample population of muzzled medics detailed their experiences trying to practice medicine they considered in the best interest of their patients.
Doctors Wade Hamilton, Paul Gabriel Gosselin, James Thorp, Christiane Northrup and Michael Huang spoke of medical licensing boards threatening them for “spreading covid misinformation,” in a report published by The Epoch Times.
Maine Doctor Paul Gabriel Gosselin was reportedly the first physician in the country to have his license suspended for “misinformation.” He claimed his license to practice medicine was “emergently” suspended just before Thanksgiving 2021.
“I was the first physician in the country to have my license suspended for misinformation,” Gosselin said. “Emergency suspensions are supposed to be reserved for physicians or other medical providers who pose a direct immediate threat to the public.”
“This usually means that patients have died, been molested, or been seriously hurt by a caregiver,” he added. “The statewide and national news initially reported that I was committing fraud, deceit, misinformation, medical incompetence, and the catch-all disciplinary offense known as ‘unprofessional conduct’.” The doctor explained that his emergency suspension left his entire patient base — including cancer, addiction and chronically ill patients — without a physician at a time when Maine had suspended or revoked licenses for many good physicians.
Gosselin said most of the penalized physicians did not want to get the dangerous jab and/or were not willing to sell out patients to maintain their positions and licenses, according to the report.
“Taking a physician’s ability to practice after years of struggle and sacrifice may be a loss but sustaining one’s license at the expense of your patient’s well-being defies logic and basic medical ethical principles,” concluded Gosselin. “One might say you’re selling your soul for 30 coins of silver.”
Doctor Thorp has practiced obstetrics for over 42 years, the report noted, adding he is board-certified in obstetrics, gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine.
He reported seeing many more cases of fetal deaths and miscarriages since the guidelines allowed pregnant women to receive COVID-19 vaccines.
“There was never any credible research documenting safety in pregnancy prior to rollout and there have been many flashing red lights from our pharmacovigilance tools that have been blatantly ignored and dismissed,” Thorp said.
The doctor said the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology sent him a letter informing him that if any physician shares what they call misinformation about COVID, they “may subject a physician to disciplinary actions, including suspension or revocation of their medical license..
Doctor Northrup, a former Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, expressed outrage over the agressive tactics used to silence doctors.
“Practicing medicine in an era in which one cannot question the evidence they can plainly see in their patients is medical tyranny, plain and simple,” Northrup said. “A gag order such as this is straight out of George Orwell’s classic 1984.”
