On September 20th, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas assured concerned citizens that “those coming across the border will not be allowed to remain in the U.S.”
On October 7, the DHS published a follow-up statement noting: “The Biden Administration has reiterated that our borders are not open, and people should not make the dangerous journey. Individuals and families are subject to border restrictions, including expulsion. Irregular migration…should not be attempted.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has stated that “immigrants being processed at the border do not plan to stay here for a lengthy period of time,” a statement that came under immediate scrutiny.
Leaked documents obtained by Fox News reveals the truth: More than 160,000 immigrants were released into the United States, by U.S. officials, since March. Fox News reports the migrants “were released with little or no oversight, supervision, or immediate risk of deportation.”
The documents also show that “since Aug 6th, the administration has released approximately 32,000 immigrants into the U.S. via parole – which gives migrants a form of legal status and the ability to apply for work permits, and an additional 40,000 immigrants on their own recognizance.”
NEW/THREAD: According to Border Patrol documents provided by a source, the federal gov has released over 70,000 illegal immigrants into the U.S. since August 6, including 31,977 released via parole (temp legal status, eligible for work permits).

The New American reports that tens of thousands of immigrants are being flown or bussed to cities throughout America at tax payer’s expense and that DNA testing proves approximately 30 percent of those claiming to be traveling as a family are not actually related.
Senator Blackburn recently toured border facilities and remarked the crisis “cannot continue” and admonished the Biden administration, particularly Kamala Harris whom Biden appointed as Border Czar, urging them to “step up.”
Adding to the concern, a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official told Fox News that standard protocols to monitor immigrants, “such as paroling, the use of NTRs, and enrolling migrants in Alternatives to Detention (which provide mechanisms to require family units released from CBP custody to report to ICE within a specified time),” are not being followed.
Border States report there were more than 200,000 migrant encounters in both July and August, record numbers since the 1990’s. The surge continues with mounting humanitarian concerns on both sides of the border.
In an attempt to stem the tide, the Biden administration has made some overtures to enforce Title 42 public health protections, which allows the government to restrict immigration based on health concerns.
Fox News reports that “DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who has repeatedly claimed that the border is not open, reportedly warned officials of a worst-case scenario of up to 400,000 encounters a month if Title 42 public health protections are rolled-back, a move which, in the face of recent Haitian deportations, several prominent Congressional Representatives have threatened.
