Additional details on the death of the popular rapper Master P’s daughter have been revealed.
Master P’s daughter, Tytyana Miller, died on May 27 of “accidental fentanyl intoxication.”
PageSix reported that Miller, 25, died at a “private residence.”
People Magazine reports the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office released information on the cause of death.
Master P, 52, mourned his daughter’s death in a May 29 Instagram post:
“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana.”
The rapper added: “Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”
Master P’s son, Romeo Miller, also posted on Instagram in May, noting that he grieved over the loss of his sister.
“Although this is sad times, I’m forever grateful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister,” the actor told his followers. “Love on your loved ones, life is short.”
In July, Master P spoke of his grief during an interview that aired on “CBS This Morning.”
Master P said: “I feel like, going to my daughter’s funeral, I feel like I went to my own funeral. I don’t even want to go to no more funerals.”
Master P added that his daughter had “a lot of life left in her,” noting, “She was a happy woman that knew that tomorrow she could do something better. … I love her. I think about her every day.”
Before her death, Tytyana and several family members spoke about her addiction struggles on the show “Growing Up Hip Hop.”
In a 2016 episode of the show, Master P said: “When people hide that they have a problem, they’ll never overcome it.”
Tytyana reportedly said, “Dad, I want to be better. I want to get myself together.'”
