Information from Hunter Biden’s laptop has revealed that Joe Biden considered John Kasich, a Republican and former governor of Ohio, as his running mate in the 2020 election, shown by conversations with Greg Penner, one of his top political donors.

Penner, chairman of the Walmart board of directors, has donated over $640,000 to political campaigns since 1999. It was revealed that he had been discussing the possibility of setting up Joe Biden with Kasich in back-channel talks he had with Hunter Biden.

The information reveals just how involved Hunter was in his father’s campaign, much more so than the president has been willing to state. It also shows how much access top donors had to Biden.

The conversation began with Hunter Biden back in 2017 when he reached out to Penner via email.

“Hi Greg hope you’re well – This is Hunter Biden – it’s been a while. I’d like to discuss something with you that’s best not to be done by text or email– nothing bad I promise,” he emailed the Walmart chairman, asking him to call when possible.

Discussions continued until June 2018 when Penner approached Biden about possibly enlisting Kasich as a candidate. Kasich had been an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump and ultimately endorsed Biden in 2020.

“I’d like to visit with you about some options I’ve been working on for the 2020 election,” Penner wrote.

On August 25, the two had a phone call that revealed the intentions behind the plan.

“It’s gonna be very difficult for him not to run,” Hunter was recorded saying in reference to his father. “I think that whether it’s the party, or whether it’s people like you Greg, the overall objective here is to stop not only Donald Trump, but to stem the tide of what Donald Trump represents in the political process for the future of this country.”

Penner revealed that Kasich wanted to meet with Joe Biden with the intention of discussing the possible joint ticket.

“We know it’s of interest to John to at least have a conversation. If your dad was at all intrigued by it, we could figure out a way to facilitate,” he said. “I could fly John out and it could just be an off-the-record face-to-face.”

Hunter made an important note to distance his father from involvement in the plan. “This is all me, not him,” he said, indicating Hunter’s level of involvement.

‘” think for him, right now, to have that discussion is premature, particularly when he hasn’t even announced,” Hunter told Penner.

“But I think that, obviously, if you’re able to do this in the traditional way, I think there’s a nonpartisan or even a partisan but moderate coalition that forms that allows him to win it all. However, who the hell knows with any of this stuff. No matter what, I rather him win that way,” he continued.

The messages show not only Hunter Biden’s level of involvement in his father’s campaign, but how easy it was for Penner, who financially backed Kasich, Biden and other Democrats to be given access to the president.

This is particularly concerning due to Hunter Biden’s numerous business ventures that were conducted through Penner, which included using his connection to Penner to set up a deal with Madrone Capital, a wealth office owned by the Walton family, the owners of Walmart. His wife, Carrie Walton, is an heiress of the family. Penner managed the wealth office, and Biden believed the deal could be worth $50 million.
