Several poll workers in Georgia claim that they saw suspicious mail-in ballots during the 2020 election, most of which were marked for President Joe Biden.
In detail: Poll manager Suzi Voyles in Fulton County, Georgia, and at least three other poll workers have signed affidavits, under the penalty of perjury, claiming they saw fake ballots at the polling place where they worked.
According to Voyles, several stacks of mail-in ballots raised suspicion, all of which came from a box marked “Box No. 5—Absentee—Batch Numbers 28-36.”
Voyles says the mail-in ballots had perfectly filled-in ovals with an identical crescent-shaped white void inside, indicating they have been copied. Also, the ballots had a different texture than others and weren’t folded or creased as mail-in-ballots usually are, given that they are placed in envelopes, which are then handled by poll workers.
“Most of the ballots had already been handled; they had been written on by people, and the edges were worn. They showed obvious use. However, one batch stood out. It was pristine. There was a difference in the texture of the paper,” Voyles wrote in the affidavit.
The most “alarming peculiarity” was “[t]he bubble next to ‘Joseph R. Biden’” because it “had a slight white eclipse in the bubble,” she said.
Only three of the 110 ballots in question were for former President Trump.
“Every single bubble was precisely alike. I had never seen that before in 20 years,” she told RealClear Investigation, referring to her two-decade-long experience in monitoring voting.
Voyles says when she told county election officials about the suspicious mail-in-ballots “we were told not to worry about it,” she said.
“They seemed uninterested in the [integrity of the] ballots,” she added.
Voyles was later fired as poll manager. “I got the boot for speaking the truth,” she said.
Robin Hall, a certified Fulton County recount observer, also said he saw several boxes of absentee ballots that were “perfectly filled out as if they were pre-printed with the presidential candidate selected.”
“They did not look like a person had filled this out at home. All of them looked alike,” she said, noting the boxes were marked “100 percent for Biden.”
“The absentee ballots looked as though they had just come from a fresh stack,” Barbara Hartman, another election official auditor, said in her affidavit. “I could not observe any creases in the ballots and [it] did not seem like they were folded and put into envelopes or mailed out.”
“The majority of the mail-in ballots that I reviewed contained suspicious black perfectly bubbled markings for Biden,” Hartman stated. “They looked as if they were stamped.”
A court case: The affidavits from the poll workers have prompted Superior Court Judge Brian Amero to allow 147,000 mail-in ballots counted in Fulton to be examined for evidence of fraud.
Election integrity advocates argue that the suspicious ballots might have led to Biden’s late surge of 12,000 votes. They also point to the Nov. 3 incident when Fulton County elections officials told monitors they were done counting for the day at the State Farm Arena but continued to tabulate votes after the poll observers left.
Election officials note that sometimes, ballots have to be copied if they were too damaged that the scanning machines could not read them. They say this might be what raised concerns among poll workers.
