A former high school teacher at Columbus Alternative High School has been taken into federal custody on crimes related to the sexual exploitation of minors.
The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) reported that Justin Foley of Delaware, Ohio, has been charged with “sexually exploiting minors and distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography.”
Justin Foley, 47, allegedly used hidden cameras to film females in school dressing rooms and other public places. Authorities noted he reportedly had “tens of thousands of explicit videos,” according to The Post Millennial.
The DOJ report that Foley allegedly used cell phone cameras and digital media devices to “secretly capture female genitalia under skirts and shorts.”
Court documents note that the Delaware Police Department processed CyberTip complaints forwarded from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Complaints note that “numerous images of apparent child pornography were uploaded via a number of Google email accounts.”
Investigators tracked the IP addresses for the reported email accounts to Justin Foley.
According to the reports, Foley’s email accounts contained numerous explicit videos that appeared to be “self-produced and recorded in a variety of locations.”
Videos were reportedly taken at the school where he taught, at local department stores, dressing rooms and public areas of downtown Delaware.
Individuals were not aware they were being filmed.
A search warrant was executed in September 2022. The search of Foley’s home produced “thousands of explicit images and videos of child abuse material,” according to The Post Millennial.
The outlet noted that the “sexual exploitation of a minor is punishable by 15 to 30 years in prison. Distribution and receipt of child pornography is punishable by 5 to 20 years in prison.“
