An FBI whistleblower claims the bureau has become less of a law enforcement agency than an intelligence-gathering operation that spies on law-abiding Americans. Suspended FBI agent Kyle Seraphin told podcaster Dan Bongino the alleged spying is conducted to help advance a political agenda, claiming thousands of agents and employees feel betrayed by the bureau’s leadership.
Bongino in his podcast “Unfiltered” conducted a two-episode conversation with Seraphin that first aired Friday. The agent alleged agents are routinely directed to spy on Americans with little or no basis, the bureau’s management ranks are hopelessly politicized by inexperienced corporate climbers and hundreds of experienced agents are holding their noses long enough to qualify for their pensions.
“The number of guys who say, ‘I don’t agree with what’s going on here, but I’ve got three years to retire,’ it’s heartbreaking,” said Seraphin, who joined the bureau five years ago. The Air Force veteran is currently suspended without pay and unable to look for another job without quitting or getting FBI permission, according to a Daily Wire report.
Seraphin related to Bongino how new agents are brought to Washington, D.C.’s, Holocaust Memorial Museum as part of their orientation. The Holocaust could not have happened, new agents are reportedly informed, without minor government officials cooperating with support from law enforcement.
The message learned from the Nuremberg Trials of Nazis is that the excuse “I was just following orders” does not fly.
“We’re supposed to know that if they ask you to do something that is illegal, immoral, or unethical, following orders is not an excuse,” Seraphin said.
The agent opined the FBI already had a target on his back for refusing a COVID vaccination after contracting the virus in late 2020. Seraphin received a religious exemption but he helped organize approximately 300 FBI employees who also objected to the “vax or axe” policy.
The agent stated that last November, after Attorney General Merrick Garland denied during congressional testimony that the Department of Justice targeted education-activist parents with terrorism tracking tools, was when he decided to blow the whistle on what seemed un-American conduct.
Seraphin previously worked in the bureau’s Washington field office but by last year ended up stationed in New Mexico. He provided his local member of Congress with a widely circulated bureau email that relayed Garland’s orders to use Patriot Act counterterrorism tools to target parents at school board meetings, according to the report.
It was later revealed the DOJ coordinated with the White House and the National School Boards Association to designate parents objecting to schools advancing radical gender and race theories as “domestic terrorists.”
“That’s when you become part of political hatchet jobs, and I didn’t sign up for that, and nobody I know signed up for that either,” Seraphin said. “That’s not what people want to get involved in.”
The podcaster praised the FBI agent for coming forward. Bongino predicted the whistleblower floodgates will continue at the FBI.
