Playing in the dirt must boost immune systems based on a recent report showing three unvaccinated children died from Covid-19 while more than 80 percent of fully vaccinated people over 70 died.

Great Britain’s Public Health Service released a report covering three weeks between August 9-29, 2021 recently. The report provides ammunition for people opposed to vaccinating children against Covid-19.

Three British children under 18 died out of 167,832 cases reported during the three weeks covered in the report. None of the deceased children were vaccinated. Most British children are not vaccinated. Of the cases reported for the under 18 population, there were 141,676 unvaccinated children.

Only 129 of the 580 deaths reported for people aged 70-79 were not vaccinated. Just 115 of the 1,119 deaths by people over 80 were not vaccinated.

“In the context of very high vaccine coverage in the population, even with a highly effective vaccine, it is expected that a large proportion of cases, hospitalizations and deaths would occur in vaccinated individuals, simply because a larger proportion of the population are vaccinated than unvaccinated and no vaccine is 100 percent effective,” wrote the report authors.

“This is especially true because vaccination has been prioritized in individuals who are more susceptible or more at risk of severe disease. Individuals in risk groups may also be more at risk of hospitalization or death due to non-COVID-19 causes, and thus may be hospitalized or die with Covid-19 rather than because of Covid-19.”

In a nod to the low mortality rate for Britain’s children, the National Health Service is not recommending vaccinations for young children.

“The assessment by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI) is that the health benefits from vaccination are marginally greater than the potential known harms,” opined the countries equivalent to our CDC. “However, the margin of benefit is considered too small to support universal vaccination of healthy 12-to-15 year olds at this time.”

Britain’s JCVI added that most children infected with Covid-19 are asymptomatic and will recover without treatment. They also said most children between 12 to 15 requiring hospitilization had underlying health risks, besides covid.

“There is evidence of an association between mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and myocarditis,” cautioned the JCVI.
