A Democratic strategist and New York Times contributor was mocked online after posting that male conservatives care more about pronouns than any “leftist or trans person” she knew.
Strategist Elizabeth Spiers wrote a Tweet reading simply, “White male conservatives care more about pronouns than any leftist or trans person I know. It’s truly unhinged.”

“I don’t have gender pronouns in my Twitter bio. You do. So who ‘cares more’ about pronouns — the person who’s simply not using them, or the person who’s virtue-signaling with them?” replied author Geoffrey Miller.
“Never saw a conservative try to get someone fired for using the wrong one…” said another.
“I see we’re attempting the ‘Akshully we’re not the ones who care that much about pronouns’ shift in real time,” wrote podcast host Steven L. Miller.
