Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) blasted far-Left Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) Wednesday afternoon after Bowman baselessly accused Elon Musk of supporting “white supremacy” after Musk revealed that he voted for Republican Mayra Flores, a Mexican immigrant, in Tuesday’s special election in south Texas.
“Elon Musk is not a leader,” Bowman claimed about Musk, who is the CEO of SpaceX, co-CEO of Tesla, and soon-to-be CEO of Twitter. “He’s just another Republican billionaire who supports white supremacy and authoritarianism because he doesn’t want his workers to unionize or to pay his fair share in taxes. The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he’s supporting them.”
Bowman made the remarks in response to a tweet from Musk, who wrote last night: “I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022.”
Crenshaw responded to Bowman by writing: “When you think an African American immigrant voting for a Mexican-American woman is ‘white supremacy,’ it might be an indication your brain is broken.”
Flores, who beat Democrat Dan Sanchez in the special election for Texas’ 34th Congressional District, is now “the first GOP candidate to represent that area of the Rio Grande Valley since 1870,” the Houston Chronicle reported, and she will be “the first congresswoman born in Mexico.”
Flores responded to her victory with a statement saying that her “historic win will bring back God to the halls of Congress!”
“This win is for the people who were ignored for so long!” she continued. “This is a message that the establishment will no longer be tolerated! We have officially started the red wave!! #TX34 God, Family, Country.”
“Congresswoman-Elect Mayra Flores and the people of Texas have a message for Joe Biden!” she added. “The RED Tsunami is here!”
The region has been devastated by Democrat President Joe Biden’s border crisis, something that has turned off many Hispanic voters who typically have voted for Democrats in the past.
