Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) trolled former Texas representative Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (D) on Sunday after he invited his supporters to run with him in Corpus Christi, Texas.
O’Rourke, who has launched a bid for Texas governor, posted a video of himself running with a full-collared shirt and visibly sweating while issuing the invite.
“Corpus Christi! Join me for a morning run along the water at 7:30,” O’Rourke’s tweet read. “We’re meeting at the Selena Statue. Hope to see you there.”
Greene retweeted the video, referring to O’Rourke by his middle name, Francis, and suggesting that he has low testosterone. She went on to invite the Democratic politician to do deadlifts with her in the gym.
“Francis, I’ve noticed you have low T. It’s okay, it’s common in men like you,” Greene tweeted. “If you get on a weight lifting program, it will really help you,” she added. “Since you run in your collared shirt, I’ll be happy to challenge you in my work attire for deadlifts.”
Greene has pushed previously for self-improvement through exercise and physical activity. The Georgia representative recently posted a video of herself and her daughters training in their home gym.
“This is women’s healthcare,” her tweet read. “Raise your daughters to be strong with a mindset to take care of their bodies. Not a mindset of self destruction.”
