A draft report of the Arizona election audit being conducted by Cyber Ninjas was delayed this week when CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the five-person audit team tested positive for COVID-19.
In detail: In a statement released Monday, Arizona Senate president Karen Fann (R) explained, “The team expected to have the full draft ready for the Senate today, but unfortunately Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the five-person audit team have tested positive for COVID-19 and are quite sick.”
In the statement, Fann also blamed Maricopa County for the delay, explaining that “it wasn’t until Thursday that the Senate received images of the ballot envelopes…and [they] are hoping to have those analyzed as soon as possible to incorporate those results into the final report.”
Maricopa County disputed that allegation, claiming that they provided the information back in April.
The draft report, which has now been delayed more than two months from the original completion date, will be vetted by the Arizona Senate legal team for “accuracy, clarity, and proof of documentation of findings,” before being presented to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
At the conclusion of this process, the report will be released to the public.
