Political commentator and podcast host Megyn Kelly lashed out on Twitter after a video surfaced over the weekend showing a daycare worker repeatedly putting a mask over the face of a resistant toddler.
Kelly’s comments: Kelly responded vehemently on Twitter in response to a viral video depicting a daycare worker putting a mask over the face of a crying child, who repeatedly removes the mask from his face.
“This is SO WRONG,” she tweeted.
Kelly has been outspoken in regards to mask mandates, often criticizing politicians and their policies for what she views as a double standard.
Just last week, she had some harsh words for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who attended the New York City’s Met Gala in a white dress with “Tax the rich” written on in it red letters.
“A pathetic self-aggrandizing hypocrite,” Kelly responded. “Meanwhile our kids are muzzled & six feet apart all day long while trying to learn but she & these other “Rules for Thee but Not for Me” pols can parade around maskless & in top of each other at the Met Gala bc, SCIENCE.”
In a separate post, Kelly, a mother of three children, wrote: “Our 8, 10 & 11 yr olds are in masks ALL DAY at school. They eat lunch divided from the other kids by plexiglass – there is no conversation. These pics of these elitist snobs w/no masks, surrounded by crowds, eating & dancing the nite away – are INFURIATING.”
Earlier in the month, Kelly posted: “This is infuriating. Your kid has to wear a mask all day in school bc the teachers unions bullied the CDC into calling it a scientific necessity.”
Worth noting: Kelly has also taken to Twitter to express her disapproval of vaccine mandates.
On September 8, she tweeted: “L.A. parents – concerned about sticking your child w/an experimental vaccine? Too bad. You’ll have to do it if you want your, eg, 12-yr-old in school. And guess why? ‘A key constituency supporting the student vaccine mandate is the city’s teachers’ union.'”
